Memorial Earrings – Jill

We created a pair of memorial earrings for Jill and received this message;

Thank you for the beautiful earrings created from the ashes of Jasper, our English Springer Spaniel, who would have been 12 years old this June. I received them today, one day after payment and in first class packaging. I chose the Ruby setting as it will be our Ruby anniversary this August.

Your service and the quality of the earrings are first class. I will definitely be recommending Ashes into Glass and will certainly be using your company again in the future.

Many thanks,
Jill

Memorial Ring – Jacqui Denham-Hoey

We produced a memorial ring for Jacqui Denham-Hoey and received this message;

Thank you so much for my lovely ‘Ashes into Glass’ tribute ring. I lost my wonderful Husband, best friend and soul-mate, Graham suddenly in January at the age of 45. I chose green as it reminds me of Graham’s forever smiling Irish eyes and it was the colour we chose for our wedding theme.

My inscription reads ‘Gra, My Love, My Life’ as that was exactly what he was (and still is) from the day we met our lives turned round and just got better. We packed so much in to the time we had together but we also had so much more living to do and dreams to achieve. I miss him terribly but now feel a part of him is with me wherever I go.

I couldn’t have asked for anyone more loving and caring as him. We were two pieces of a jigsaw (which was another theme to our wedding) that fitted together, and still we fit together with Gra wrapped round my finger! He wouldn’t mind as he always wanted to be right next to me.

Thanks once again, as you service and thoughts are second to none.

I would like to send my heartfelt thanks to you all for the wonderful thing you do. I have scattered Mum to the four winds to be remade into so many new things but I love to have a tiny piece here with me close forever. I had a beautiful paperweight made and light shines through awsome!

Wonderful service thanks and much love to you all.

Funeral Poems – Heva Heaton

We created a signet ring for Heva Heaton and received this message;

Thank you so much for making my lovely ruby signet ring, it has bought me comfort that a part of my Dad (Brian Moore) is still with me. I’m so glad that there is a company like yours as my Dad’s ashes are going up North to be buried with his mum so at least i’m left with a little bit of him as i live in the South.

My Dad loved jewellery so he would of loved his ashes made into a ring thanks again you do a great job x

I wrote this poem which was read at my Dad’s funeral:

BRIAN MOORE OUR DAD
ALWAYS HAPPY NEVER SAD
SOME PEOPLE CALLED HIM YORKIE
QUITE SLIM NEVER BEEN PORKIE
HE LOOKED GOOD FOR HIS AGE AND VERY FIT
HE WAS A NORTHERNER AND WORKED DOWN PIT
ANOTHER JOB A PARA IN THE ARMY
I DONT THINK US KIDS MADE HIM BARMY
HE LOVED HIS DENIM AND HIS DESERT BOOTS
HAD LOVELY HAIR AND NEVER DYED HIS ROOTS
LIKED GOING TO THE PUB
AND LIKED MARKS AND SPENCERS GRUB
HIS FAMILY AND MATES THOUGHT HE WAS A LOVERBLE ROGUE
HE WAS VERY HANSOME HE COULD OF BEEN IN VOGUE
BUT ONE AWFULL DAY HE WAS TOLD HE WAS ILL
WE DID’NT HAVE THE HEART TO TELL HIM TO MAKE A WILL
4TH OF NOVEMBER OUR FATHER SADLEY PERISHED
OUR MEMORIES OF OUR DAD WE WILL ALWAYS CHERISH
HIS NOW WITH HIS MUM , FAMILY, AND FRIENDS, WHO WE MISS
FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS KISS KISS XXXXXXXXX

LOVE YOU DAD XXXXXXX

Memorial Rings – Julia Nairne

Dear Bill & James,

Although my Father passed away a few years ago he is still sorely missed.  Except for burying his ashes in my Mum’s garden (while he was ill he had just wanted to go home, so it seemed apt) we hadn’t done anything to remember him by. I saw your premises while taking my daughter to guitar lessons and thought that “Ashes into Glass” was a very nice idea. I ordered tribute rings for Mum and myself, gold with black and blue respectively (blue for Spurs).

We visited the workshop to see the ashes put into the coloured glass, James looked after us very well. I thought I might find it upsetting but I’m more upset writing this post!

The rings are beautiful momentos of Dad. I would thoroughly recommend the experience and the service we received.

Thank you very much
Julia Nairne and Mum, Joan

Ashes Pendant – Karen Landricombe

We created an ashes pendant for Karen Landricombe and we received this message;

Thank you for the beautiful necklace which now contains my Dads ashes, I absolutely love it. It is actually better than I could have imagined.

Keeping my Dad close is the best thing ever. You were all very helpfull and polite and I was so pleased that you were able to get it to me early so that I could wear it as we spread the rest of his ashes around a tall proud tree, just like my Dad.

Thanks again xxx

Pet Memorial – Julia

We created a pet memorial pendant for Julia and received this message;

Thank you for making my pendant with Killer’s ashes.

I had a round pendant made in blue and silver with the ashes of my beloved cat, Killer, who died in December. He was 18 and I had him for 16 of those years. He had been rescued from owners who were unkind to him, but he and I developed a close bond, and were together through thick and thin: we both had dramas in that time – Killer lost a leg due to an argument with a car, and I had major surgery too, for an illness. Boyfriends came and went, and for several years I was single, but Killer was my constant and loyal companion, and despite his name, I don’t think he ever killed anything! I always told him he was the “best cat in the world”.

I still miss him terribly and it is nice to have a beautiful necklace so I can have a little bit of him close to my heart. I watched the glass being made with Killer’s ashes, and found the whole service very professional and sympathetic. I would recommend Ashes into Glass as it is an affordable way of creating a very special memorial.

Memorial Ring – Julie Dyson Knapp

We produced a memorial ring for Julie Dyson Knapp and received this message;

Thank you everyone at Ashes into Glass for my beautiful tribute ring which arrived yesterday. The ring is very beautiful and a wonderful way of taking my lovely mam, Nancie, with me where ever I go. I am so glad I decided to keep back a few of mam’s ashes to do this.

Your service has been fantastic throughout the process and the way in which you package the ring is just top quality. Thank you once again – I will have no problem recommending you to others (in fact I already have!).

Pet Memorial – Karen Gingell

We produced a pet memorial ring for Karen Gingell and received this message;

I would just like to say thank you for such a beautiful Tribute Ring which you kindly produced from the ashes of my dearly missed Westie, Lucy. She just missed out celebrating her 17th birthday and it was fitting that the ring was delivered just before her birthday. I think you provide a fabulous service and bring comfort to many from such a sad time.

I kiss my Lucy every morning and whenever I think of her. Thank you again!!!!!!

Memorial Jewellery – Vicky Marshall

We created several pieces of memorial jewellery for Vicky Marshall and received this message:

Just want to say thank you so much for our Tribute Rings and Pendant. After losing our Nan/Mum suddenly in January, it is so nice that we can have a piece of her with us always. If you’d asked me 6 months ago if I would wear jewellery with my Nan’s ashes in it, I would have said ‘no way’ but when you suffer a loss like we did, you see things differently – I love having her with me so discreetly. People admire the ring without knowing what it means to me. One of my aunties had a ring the same as mine and the other had a pendant – we are all absolutely thrilled to bits with our jewellery and I know Nan would be delighted that she is still so close to us and missing out on nothing!

The service from Ashes into Glass was excellent – thank you for dealing directly with the Funeral Director at what was such a difficult time, it meant a lot to us.

Thanks again,
Vicky Marshall
